Learning from the COVID-19 pandemic: A co-production project with people with learning disabilities and autism.
Materials
SCIE has captured learnings from the COVID-19 pandemic to advocate change in social care for people with learning disabilities and autistic people.
By holding discussions and workshops with commissioners, service providers, and with our co-production group, the SCIE Fliers, we were able to capture experiences and learnings from the pandemic. These have been documented in several materials, titled ‘Am I Invisible?’, that you can view on this page.
The materials have been used to inform a comprehensive guidance document from SCIE, ‘Tackling inequalities in care for people with learning disabilities and autistic people: A guide for adult social care professionals’.

A full easy-read page for this project will be provided again soon, but in the meantime, the easy read version is available to download as a pdf.
